La Casa Rural El Pósito se sitúa en Los Callejones, a escasos minutos de la Villa de Mazo, un lugar agraciado con el buen clima que se encuentra a medio camino entre el mar y la montaña.

Entre las casitas del entorno destaca la del Pósito por su belleza y dimensiones. Esta casona, de porte señorial, albergó a modo de silo los granos de cereal excedentes que se almacenaban por el reparto en épocas de carestía. Esta práctica se remonta hasta el siglo XVI perdiéndose en el tiempo. Actualmente, la vivienda ha sido rehabilitada para el alojamiento turístico sin que le haya restado autenticidad. Se distribuye en dos plantas de tal forma que la cocina-comedor se mantienen dentro de un espacio común recuperando el aire rústico en un sentido práctico más moderno. Las paredes se han dejado limpias, simplemente encaladas, así las oscuras carpinterías de las ventanas y la gran puerta ateada de la entrada junto a los pisos y los techos constituyen un conjunto de un fuerte contraste bicolor. En la planta superior se encuentra también un amplio salón, muy cómodo, sencillo y atractivo, donde se combinan armónicamente los muebles antiguos con la funcionalidad del salón. En el piso inferior se sitúan dos amplios dormitorios dobles con camas supletorias de las mismas dimensiones y con sus cuartos de baño correspondientes; ambas tienen acceso directo al jardín que rodea la vivienda.Casa El Pósito dispone de piscina de uso privado cuyas dimensiones son: 6mx3m y su profundidad oscila entre 1,2m y 1,60m. Dispone de una cancha de tenis de uso gratuito. Rodeada de jardines y huertos, majestuosa se alza Casa El Pósito a tan sólo medio kilómetro de Bodegas El Hoyo donde se elaboran vinos bajo las marcas Hoyo de Mazo y Mazegas con Denominación de origen La Palma. La casa goza de unas excelentes vistas tanto hacia las cumbres que dividen la isla como hacia el inmenso Océano Atlántico, donde en los días claros se puede divisar el Teide en la cercana isla de Tenerife. La tranquilidad que se respira en la zona invita a pasear por los alrededores entre los jardines y viñedos y el agradable ambiente ofrece la posibilidad de tomar el sol en el patio o disfrutar de placenteras comidas al aire libre en la barbacoa.

 

 

 

 

The El Pósito country cottage is located in Los Callejones, a few minutes away from Villa de Mazo, a spot that is blessed with good weather, half way between the sea and the mountains.

El Pósito stands out from the other cottages because of its beauty and size. This house, with its stately airs, used to act as a silo to house the surplus grain that was stored to be shared out in times of shortage. This practice dates back to the 16th century and was gradually lost over time. The current house has been refurbished as tourist accommodation without losing any of its authenticity. It is laid out on two floors in such a way as to keep the kitchen-dining room in a common area, hence recovering the rustic air in a more modern, practical way. The walls have been left bare, simply whitewashed, in sharp contrast with the dark woodwork of the windows, the main entrance door and the floors and ceilings. There is also a spacious, very comfortable, simple and attractive lounge on the upper floor, where old furniture is harmoniously combined with the functionality of the lounge. On the lower floor, there are two spacious double bedrooms with supplementary beds of the same size and their corresponding bathrooms. They both have direct access to the garden that surrounds the cottage.

El Pósito has a private swimming pool measuring: 6mx3m and a depth that varies from 1.2 m to 1.6 metres. 

It has a tennis court that you can use free of charge. 

Surrounded by gardens and allotments, El Pósito rises majestically just half a kilometre from El Hoyo Winery where Hoyo de Mazo and Mazegas label wines are made under the La Palma Denomination of Origin. The house enjoys excellent views over both the mountain range that divides the island and also over the immense Atlantic Ocean, where you can see Mt. Teide on the nearby island of Tenerife on a clear day. The calm that you breathe in the area invites you to stroll around the surrounding gardens and vineyards and the pleasant atmosphere offers you the chance to sunbathe on the patio or enjoy a lovely meal outdoors by the barbecue.

A look out spot has been built for the house, themed to enjoy star-gazing, with binoculars on a mount and a library of books to introduce you to astronomy.

 

 

 

 

Die ländliche Unterkunft El Pósito liegt in Los Callejones, wenige Minuten von Villa de Mazo, einem Ort, der vom angenehmen Klima, das auf halben Wege zwischen dem Meer und dem Gebirge zu finden ist, begünstigt wird.
Zwischen den Häuschen der Umgebung ist El Pósito wegen seiner Schönheit und Abmessungen hervorzuheben. Dieses alte Herrenhaus beherbergte als Silo das überschüssige Getreide, das zur Verteilung in Zeiten des Mangels gelagert wurde. Diese Praxis geht auf das 16, Jahrhundert zurück und verlor sich mit der Zeit. Derzeit ist das Wohnhaus als Unterkunft für den Fremdenverkehr restauriert worden, was jedoch seiner Authentizität keinen Abbruch tat. Es ist auf zwei Stockwerke aufgeteilt, so dass Küche und Speisezimmer innerhalb eines Gemeinschaftsraums beibehalten wurden, wodurch das rustikale Flair mit einem modernen, praktischen Stil beibehalten wurde. Die Wände wurden frei belassen, einfach gekalkt, so dass das dunkle Holzwerk der Fenster und die große, kieferfarbene Eingangstür zusammen mit Fußböden und Decken einen starken zweifarbigen Kontrast ergeben. Im oberen Stock befindet sich auch ein sehr bequemes, einfaches und anziehendes Wohnzimmer, wo antike Möbel harmonisch mit der Funktionalität des Wohnzimmers vereint werden. Im unteren Stock gibt es zwei gleich große Doppelzimmer mit Zusatzbetten und entsprechenden Badezimmern; von beiden aus hat man direkten Zugang zum Garten, der das Wohnhaus umgibt.
Casa El Pósito verfügt über ein privates Schwimmbecken mit Abmessungen von 6 m x 3 m und einer Tiefe zwischen 1,20 m und 1,60 m.
Es gibt auch einen kostenlos zu nutzenden Tennisplatz.
Umgeben von Gärten und Gemüsegärten erhebt sich Casa El Pósito majestätisch nur einen halben Kilometer von der Kellerei El Hoyo entfernt, wo Weine der Marken Hoyo del Mazo und Mazegas mit Ursprungsbezeichnung La Palma gekeltert werden. Vom Haus aus hat man herrliche Aussichten auf die Gipfel, die die Insel teilen, und auf den unendlichen Atlantischen Ozean, wo an klaren Tagen der Teide auf der nahen Insel Teneriffa zu sehen ist. Die in dieser Gegend herrschende Ruhe lädt zu einem Spaziergang durch die Umgebung, zwischen Gärten und Weingärten ein und das angenehme Ambiente bietet die Möglichkeit, sich im Innenhof zu sonnen oder im Freien köstliche Grillgerichte genießen.
Es wurde ein Aussichtspunkt errichtet, der die Einrichtung des Hauses ergänzt, um mit einem Stehenden Fernglas die Sterne zu betrachten. Es gibt auch eine Bibliothek, die uns in die Astronomie einführt.
