Este conjunto es el único de la isla que cuenta con la calificación de Casa Emblemática. Se trata de una categoría especial, desarrollada por el Gobierno de Canarias para distinguir a aquellas viviendas de uso turístico “cuya edificación constituye un bien integrante del patrimonio histórico”. En este caso, la protección viene dada por el inmueble del siglo XVIII, integrado en el Conjunto Histórico de Santa Cruz de La Palma.

La vivienda está organizada en torno a tres alojamientos independientes (Yaiza, Abidán y Lolina), que pueden alquilarse por separado o de forma conjunta. Respectivamente, cada uno de ellos tiene capacidad para acoger a dos, tres y cuatro personas. Todos comparten el carácter señorial del edificio, subrayado por las maderas que recubren suelos, paredes y techos. Sin embargo, la cuidada restauración no exige que los clientes renuncien a las comodidades del presente, como la televisión por satélite y la conexión a Internet por ADSL.

​En cuanto a sus posibilidades astronómicas, Santa Cruz de La Palma es la única capital del archipiélago amparada por la llamada Ley del Cielo de Canarias, que protege a la ciudad de la contaminación lumínica. Es por ello que las principales constelaciones, que se reflejan en la decoración de la casa, resultan visibles desde el mismo centro urbano. Una selección de libros de astronomía, así como prismáticos y tabletas iPad equipadas con aplicaciones especializadas, son los otros recursos puestos a disposición de los clientes interesados en esta apasionante actividad.

 

 

 

 

This complex is unique on the Island and has been classed an Emblematic House. This is a special category created by the Canary Island government as a distinction for rural housing “whose building constitutes an integral historic heritage asset”. In this case, the reason for the distinction is that it is an 18th century building set in the Historic Site of Santa Cruz de La Palma.It is organised around three independent accommodation units (Yaiza, Abidán and Lolina), which can be rented separately or all together. These three units sleep two, three and four people respectively. They all share the stately character of the building, underscored by the fine wood that covers the floors, walls and roofs. The careful restoration does not however require guests to live without modern-day comforts like satellite television and an ADSL Internet connection.As for its star-gazing potential, Santa Cruz de La Palma is the only capital city of the Canary Islands that is protected by what is known as the Canary Island Skies Act, which protects the city from light pollution. For this reason, the main constellations, which are reflected in the decor, are visible right from the centre of town. A selection of astronomy books, binoculars and iPads fitted with specialised applications, are the other resources available to guests interested in this exciting activity.

 

 

 

Dieser Komplex ist der einzige auf der Insel, der die Qualifizierung als Sinnbildliches Haus besitzt. Es handelt sich um eine besondere, von der Kanarischen Regierung entwickelte Kategorie, für dem Fremdenverkehr gewidmete Wohnhäuser „deren Baustil ein zum historischen Erbe gehöriges Gut darstellt“. In diesem Fall ist der Schutz durch das Gebäude aus dem 18. Jahrhundert begründet, das in das Historische Ensemble von Santa Cruz de la Palma integriert ist.

Der Wohnkomplex ist rund um drei voneinander unabhängige Unterkünfte (Yaiza, Abidán y Lolina) organisiert, die getrennt oder zusammen gemietet werden können. Jede kann zwei, drei bzw. vier Personen aufnehmen. Allen ist der herrschaftliche Charakter des Gebäudes gemein, was noch durch die Hölzer, die Böden, Wände und Decken bedecken, unterstrichen wird. Die sorgfältige Restaurierung verlangt jedoch von den Gästen nicht, dass Sie auf die Annehmlichkeiten der Gegenwart, wie zum Beispiel Satellitenfernsehen oder DSL-Anschluss ans Internet verzichten sollen.
Bezüglich Möglichkeiten, Astronomie zu betreiben, ist Santa Cruz de la Palma die einzige Hauptstadt des Archipels, die durch das so genannte Gesetz des Himmels von Canarias geschützt wird, das die Stadt vor Lichtverschmutzung schützt. Deshalb kann man die wichtigsten Konstellationen, die auch in der Dekoration des Hauses widergespiegelt werden, selbst vom Stadtkern aus sehen. Eine Auswahl von Büchern über Astronomie sowie Ferngläser und iPad Tablets mit speziellen Applikationen sind weitere Hilfsmittel, die unseren an dieser begeisternden Aktivität interessierten Gästen zur Verfügung stehen.
