Esta generosa finca de casi dos hectáreas se encuentra ubicada en la zona de Buenavista, junto a lo que en su día fue la pista de aterrizaje del antiguo aeropuerto de La Palma. La propiedad ya aparece registrada en 1512, aunque los edificios recuperados para su uso turístico (la antigua casa del encargado, un almacén y un pajero) son algo posteriores. La mayor parte de restauración tuvo lugar en el año 2000 y fue escrupulosamente respetuosa con la arquitectura original. Dos de las casas tienen capacidad para cuatro personas cada una, mientras que la tercera puede acoger a otra pareja más.

La Principal funciona además como epicentro de la actividad social y cultural en la zona. Su propietario es también percusionista en el grupo palmero de pop-folk Vrandán, que ensaya y actúa ocasionalmente en la propiedad. La finca acoge seminarios, conferencias, bodas y todo tipo de eventos. Cada viernes se convierte en sede de un animado mercadillo, que atrae a vendedores de toda la comarca. Y todo ello sin perder su carácter agrícola, ya que sigue produciendo strelitzias, frutales y hortalizas.

La amplia superficie de un aljibe se configura como el espacio ideal para las observaciones astronómicas. Podremos realizarlas a ojo desnudo, mientras nos reclinamos cómodamente sobre una de las tumbonas puestas a nuestra disposición. O aventurarnos en la localización de objetos celestes débiles con ayuda de los prismáticos astronómicos de los que dispone el alojamiento, que se complementan con un iPad bien surtido de aplicaciones especializadas.

 

 

 

 

This generous property of almost two hectares is situated in the area of Buenavista, next to what used to be the runway of the old airport of La Palma. The property was registered in 1512, although the building that has been recovered for tourist use (the former foreman’s house, a barn and a hay barn) are not quite that old. Most of the restoration took place in 2000 and it scrupulously respected the original architecture. Two of the houses can sleep four people each, while the third is for another couple.La Principal also acts as the epicentre of social and cultural activity in the area. The owner is also the percussionist in a La Palma pop-folk group; Vrandán, which rehearses and occasionally performs on the property. The farm hosts seminars, conferences, weddings and all other kinds of events. Every Friday, it is the site of a bustling market that attracts vendors from the entire district. You will be able to do this with the naked eye, while reclining comfortably in a sun lounger at your disposal. Or you can use the astronomy binoculars available in the house to locate some of the dimmer celestial bodies, and take advantage of the iPad provided with specialist applications. Each house also has a television set for reproducing your images of the universe and the skies of La Palma. The farm also has a screen and a projector for the same purpose for groups.

Das Landgut nimmt Seminare, Konferenzen, Hochzeiten und alle Arten von Events auf. Jeden Freitag wird es zum Sitz eines lebhaften Bauernmarktes, der Verkäufer aus der ganzen Gegend anzieht. Und all dies, ohne seine landwirtschaftliche Eigenschaft aufzugeben, da weiterhin Strelitzien, Obstbäume und Gemüse produziert werden. Die weite Fläche einer Zisterne wird zum idealen Platz für die Sternbetrachtung.
