The San Petronio Restaurant is one of the benchmarks of quality Italian cuisine in La Palma. Specialising in freshly-made pastas, its home-made cakes are another gastronomic delight that is celebrated unanimously throughout the island. It is difficult to tell whether most people flock to the restaurant for the pasta or the cakes.

Part of its success is due to its strategic location, on the outskirts of Los Llanos de Aridane. All you need is five minutes by car to get there from the town centre, which belongs to the most populated borough of the island and plays the role of the administrative centre of the district known as the Aridane Valley. The restaurant however, is located in a quiet spot, ideal for an elaborate, drawn out dinner. The open dining room, with a kitchen open to view, efficiently distributes the exquisite aromas emanating directly from the hustle of the hobs.

Clinging to the slopes of El Bejenado, the premises have a direct line of sight over the southern tip of the island and the west coast, both of which are the perfect setting to watch the sunset. That is why the outside terrace is one of the most sought after spots, especially during the summer.

Das Restaurant San Petronio ist einer der Bezugspunkte für hochwertige italienische Küche auf La Palma. Auf frische, täglich neu erstellte Nudeln spezialisiert, sind seine Haustorten und Kuchen ebenfalls eine gastronomische Köstlichkeit, die einstimmig auf der gesamten Insel gelobt wird. Es ist schwierig zu sagen, ob die Mehrheit der Gäste von den einen oder den anderen angelockt werden.

Einen Teil des Erfolgs muss man auch im strategischen Standort außerhalb von Los Llanos de Aridane sehen. Fünf Autominuten genügen um den Ortskern zu erreichen, der zur bevölkerungsreichsten Gemeinde der Insel gehört und als Hauptstadt des Landstrichs im so genannten Tal von Aridane fungiert.
